After a launch scrub on Monday morning, SpaceX flew its Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station to deliver another batch of its Starlink V2 Mini Optimized satellites to low Earth orbit.
The Starlink 10-19 mission represented the 72nd flight of these broadband internet satellites out of a total of 93 Falcon 9 rockets in 2026.
Liftoff from Space Launch Complex 40 happened at 11:58:26 a.m. EDT (1558:26 UTC) on Tuesday, Aug. 11. The rocket flew on a northeasterly trajectory upon leaving the launch pad.
The 45th Weather Squadron forecast an 85 percent chance for favorable conditions near the opening of the window, which decreases to 75 percent as the window progresses.
“The Atlantic ridge axis will continue to slide southward over the Spaceport, shifting winds to a very light south-southwesterly flow,” launch weather officers wrote on Monday. “With the relatively dry air mass remaining in place, conditions will be similar to Monday, with the Cumulus Cloud Rule remaining the primary concern and an increasing probability of violation towards the end of the window.”
SpaceX launched this mission using the Falcon 9 first stage booster with the tail number B1085. This was its 18th flight with a flight history that includes NASA’s Crew-9, GPS III-7, and Fram2.
Nearly 8.5 minutes after liftoff, B1085 landed on the droneship, A Shortfall of Gravitas, positioned in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of South Carolina. This was the 163rd landing on this vessel and the 647th Falcon booster landing.
