Alan Dugger is the owner and publisher of Astrobitica and the host for the Astro Bitz Podcast.

Alan has been a “space nerd” since he was a young adult. He spent countless hours staring at the star-filled night sky and wondering what was out there.
After realizing he spent way too much time bouncing between multiple space news and information sites each day, getting caught up on the latest headlines and information, he started Astrobitica to curate and collect all this information in one place. The infographics and Astro Bitz podcast grew organically from Astrobitica, and his attempts to reach non-astronomer audiences and get them to fall in love with all that space science provides.
Alan writes and speaks on space science topics frequently. He has been published in the Field Artillery Journal and the Modern War Institute for his articles discussing defense space-related issues.
Alan is an active-duty Officer in the United States Army and an Army Space Enabler. In 2024, he earned a Master of Science Degree in Space Studies with a concentration in Astronomy.
