Galaxies M81 and M82 are surrounded by large clouds of galactic cirrus, which is dust from our Milky Way galaxy illuminated by its ambient glow. The Vulcan Nebula (WPS 46) is located approximately 2° to the west, and the imager utilized a 2.8-inch f/5 scope.
